The CW has dropped a brand new promo for the upcoming seventh episode of Stargirl. It’s time for Courtney to meet another one of her opponents, as Cindy Burman will prove to be more than just the mean girl of the school. She is secretly Shiv, the daughter of Dragon King, and fond of hidden blades. From the freshly released footage, it seems that Cindy is ready to take up her father’s legacy and join the Injustice Society’s attempts to stop the titular heroine. But now Courtney can count on her team of fellow teenage superheroes. Without spoiling too much from the comics’ story, Shiv and Courtney will clash more than once.

Lea Thompson — Lorraine McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy — directed the episode written by Evan Ball. The official synopsis of “Shiv Part One” reads:
“As Pat (Luke Wilson) teaches Courtney (Brec Bassinger), Yolanda (Yvette Monreal), Beth (Anjelika Washington) and Rick (Cameron Gellman) the importance of teamwork, the ISA converge to figure out who is trying to take them down. Elsewhere, as the school prepares for homecoming, Cindy (Meg DeLacy) lashes out against her father’s strict rules, while Barbara (Amy Smart) accepts an offer from Jordan (Neil Jackson). Trae Romano, Christopher James Baker, Jake Austin Walker and Hunter Sansone also star.”
