Video: Everything You Need To Know About Mandalorians

On Tuesday, November 12, Disney+ will launch with the first episode of The Mandalorian. That show is also the first-ever live-action Star Wars series. However, it’s leading man remains an enigma. Until now, Lucasfilm hasn’t really explored Mandalorians in live-action. Keep in mind, neither Boba Fett nor his clone father, Jango Fett, were actually Mandalorians. They just wore cool looking Mandalorian armor. It wasn’t until the Star Wars ancillary material exploded that Mandalorian culture was defined. Now, ahead of The Mandalorian, we’re taking a deep dive into the lore to bring everyone up to speed.

DC Daily‘s Clarke Wolfe is our special guest host for “Everything You Need To Know About Mandalorians.” In this video, we’re going over the origins of the Mandalorians; which date back to The Empire Strikes Back. Boba Fett may not have been called a Mandalorian by name, but the film’s novelization hinted at their history with the Jedi. The Mandalorians’ wars with the Jedi largely took place off screen. Regardless, both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels shed some light on those conflicts. They may have also paved the way for The Mandalorian to explore the future of Mandalore.
