The upcoming Avengers: Endgame might be the last time Chris Evans fills Captain America’s shoes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Evans has played Steven Roger for nearly a decade and in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Evans revealed that the elevator scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier is hands-down his favorite moment of his adventure in the MCU.
“I’m partial to that fight scene in the elevator,” Evans said. “That was the first scene we shot in the second Captain America movie. It was my first time working with the Russos; it was the first time where it felt like Cap was kind of on his own. In the first Cap movie, you know, you really felt like everyone was holding my hand and the first Avengers movie, I just did my best to not get in the way,” he continued. “The second Cap movie is the one that I really kind of felt, I suppose, pressure and that first elevator fight scene came out really great in my opinion.“

Furthermore, Evan was asked to reveal his favorite superhero as a kid. After admitting liking cartoons more than comic books, he said Michael Keaton’s Batman in the late 1980s/early 1990s.
“I’ll say Batman,” he added. “I really liked that, I mean I probably shouldn’t say that, DC, it’s… I don’t want to get in any trouble. But those Michael Keaton movies, those were pretty big, so yeah. I’ll say Batman.“
The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.
