Exclusive Preview: Captain Marvel #1

If Marvel has its way, 2019 is going to be the year of Captain Marvel. Of course, there’s a movie coming in just over two months, which means it’s the perfect time for a Captain Marvel relaunch. Next week, Marvel is offering Carol Danvers a fresh start with Captain Marvel #1 by writer Kelly Thompson and artist Carmen Carnero. But that doesn’t mean things are going to be any easier for Carol.

In Superhero Hype’s exclusive preview of Captain Marvel #1, Carol has to face an extremely powerful giant monster. Fortunately, Carol’s good friend, Jessica Drew a.k.a. Spider-Woman, is there to lend a hand. Life has kind of gotten in the way of their friendship, but now there’s something that they can punch together. And isn’t that the best way for heroes to bond?
